Virtual Medical Representative

Job Purpose

The Virtual Medical Representative is responsible for engaging Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) through approved digital and remote channels to deliver high-quality scientific and promotional interactions that support customer engagement, business objectives, and improved patient outcomes.

The role acts as a digital-first customer engagement partner, using virtual detailing, approved email, remote meetings, webinars, and CRM-based follow-up to build meaningful customer relationships, expand reach, and improve the customer experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement

· Deliver compliant and impactful virtual interactions with HCPs through approved digital channels.

· Conduct remote detailing sessions using platforms such as Veeva Engage, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, approved email, and other company-approved tools.

· Build trusted relationships with customers through consistent, value-driven engagement.

· Adapt communication style and channel mix based on customer needs, preferences, and digital affinity.

Scientific and Promotional Excellence

· Communicate product, disease area, and scientific information clearly and accurately to HCPs.

· Tailor discussions to customer needs while maintaining compliance with local regulations and company policies.

· Maintain strong understanding of product knowledge, clinical evidence, market dynamics, and competitor activity.

Omnichannel Execution

· Execute coordinated omnichannel engagement plans in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Medical, and Digital teams.

· Support customer journeys through virtual calls, approved follow-up communications, webinars, and digital content.

· Use customer insights and engagement data to improve the quality and relevance of future interactions.

Business Performance

· Achieve agreed engagement, activity, and business objectives.

· Maintain accurate records of customer interactions within approved CRM systems.

· Share customer feedback, market intelligence, and engagement learnings with relevant internal teams.

Collaboration

· Partner with field sales teams, marketing, medical affairs, and digital marketing to provide a seamless customer experience.

· Contribute to best-practice sharing and continuous improvement of virtual engagement approaches.

· Support adoption of new digital capabilities and customer engagement models.

Success Measures

· Quality and effectiveness of virtual customer interactions.

· Customer reach and digital engagement levels.

· Execution of agreed omnichannel plans and campaign activities.

· CRM documentation quality and compliance with approved processes.

· Customer experience indicators and feedback.

Candidate ProfileRequired

· Bachelor degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Science, or a related healthcare field.

· Strong communication and presentation skills.

· Ability to build relationships and influence through virtual channels.

· High digital literacy and comfort using CRM, collaboration, and digital engagement platforms.

· Self-motivated, well organized, and able to manage customer engagement remotely.

· Strong understanding of compliance requirements in pharmaceutical promotion.

Preferred

· Experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical promotion, inside sales, customer engagement, or digital marketing.

· Experience using Veeva CRM, Veeva Engage, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar platforms.

· Familiarity with omnichannel customer engagement strategies.
