• Ensure that formalities are completed and that traffic and transport regulations are followed.
• Check the condition of the vehicle's equipment: brakes, steering, horn, mirrors, wheels, tires, suspension, windshield wipers, tie-down devices, etc.
• Monitor and participate in the loading and unloading of the vehicle using various mechanical handling means, such as ramp, crane, pallet jack, etc.
• Distribute the load judiciously and check that the maximum load per axle is not exceeded.
• Secure the goods, protect them from the weather and ensure that they are not damaged.
• Driving a truck in highly variable conditions, depending on the nature of the terrain, roads, load, weather conditions, etc.
• Settle the administrative formalities: delivery notes, purchase orders, invoices, etc.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, wash it and keep it in good working order
• Regularly perform checks and inspections, carry out routine repairs, and replace certain defective parts.
• In case of breakdown or getting stuck, take effective measures for troubleshooting and urgent repairs.
