Senior Cost Accountant – Trading & Import Business

Job Summary

Connectalents a leading Recruitment & HRO company in MENA is currently hiring a Senior Cost Accountant for a leading Cairo-based logistics supply chain and international trading company.

Job Role:

• Manage full-cycle accounting for trading and import operations
  
• Record and reconcile import-related transactions (customs duties freight insurance clearing charges etc.)
  
• Monitor inventory accounting valuation and cost of goods sold
  
• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
  
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws VAT customs and regulatory requirements
  
• Handle bank reconciliations supplier accounts and foreign currency transactions
  
• Coordinate with customs agents banks auditors and tax consultants
  
• Support budgeting forecasting and cash flow management
  
• Review and improve internal controls and accounting processes
  
• Supervise junior accounting staff
  

Requirements

What Were Looking For:

• Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.
  
• 3-5 of accounting experience with strong exposure to the trading/import industry.
  
• Sold understanding of import/export documentation and costing.
  
• Experience with Odoo (mandatory)
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  
• Very good English (written and spoken)
  
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
