Hotel Manager

Job Summary

1. 1. Is directly responsible and empowered for all departments in order to achieve optimum profitability performance service standards and guest satisfaction.
   2. Personally attend and lead initiatives and meetings aimed at improving service standards and carrying out operations.
   3. Personally deal with guest complaints communicate face-to-face with guests and ensure such communication is established and suggest solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
   4. Provide guidance to all departments and when necessary personally take part in implementing all of the quality management systems so as to achieve Rixos Sharm El Sheikh Hotels standards.
   5. Together with the Cluster General Manager and all departments take all necessary measures and ensure coordination to protect the companys assets and revenues.
   6. Inform the Cluster General Manager of new trends and ideas so that the hotel achieves the highest level of guest satisfaction and financial results in the future.
   7. Keep track of the new trends and developments in the industry attend related meetings and inform the Cluster General Manager of any innovations that are in the interest of the hotel and the departments.
   8. Carry all competencies and responsibilities of the Cluster General Manager in his/her absence. Perform the duties and responsibilities of the Cluster General Manager.
   9. Substitute the General Manager in his/her absence and hold routine meetings with department managers on behalf of the General Manager.
   10. Responsible for preparing the annual budget and finalising the CAPEX (capital expenditure investment budget) before the budget together with the department managers.
   11. Review and compare the budgets of the departments under his/her responsibility on a monthly basis and in the case of any budget deficits discuss the measures needed with department managers and submit these to the Cluster General Manager.
   12. On behalf of the Cluster General Manager and him/herself personally greet special guests determined by the Cluster General Manager as the hotels most authorised host address these guests by their name issue the necessary orders to ensure that their preferences and requests are immediately met and monitor the actions taken. Coordinate the complimentary services and inspect the cleanliness and order of the areas before the guests arrive.
   13. Comply with all privacy and confidentiality rules related to the hotels guests and employees and prevent any information from being leaked outside of the hotel.
   14. Ensure that department managers plan the trainings of their departments. Take an active role in designing the training programmes for other trainings that are needed apart from the routine training programmes.
   15. Monitor the deadlines of tasks assigned to departments and coordinate inter-departmental communication.
   16. Support performing leading and improving Quality Management Systems at the facility and provide proceed the process within the system.
   17. Support all necessary works to provide 100% of food safety within the facility.
   18. Keep working techniques profitability of executive and financial issues quality cooperation motivation saving behaviours faithfulness of corporate and job discipline at highest level.
   19. Keep process of all stable and current assets and their usage at the facility under control provide preventive action to decrease cost by holding costs within planned limits.
   20. Follow and ensure that all official documents are followed by related departments archiving at related departments.
   21. Provide that published procedures and instructions are implemented.
   22. Attend to seminar and symposium; make studies to increase knowledge and experience.
   23. Perform all other tasks assigned by the Cluster General Manager as well as all other necessary tasks.
   24. To predict that all activities and to be purchased all equipment and belongings may create disease for the environment to join all activities which is organized to protect biological diversity and shares the responsibilities shares the individual responsibilities in order to increase environment knowledge and to carry on necessary trainings. To provide minimum consumption currently used all stuffs and equipment (paper printed out etc.).
   25. To implement necessary warnings and departmental trainings in order to save energy inside the facility. To carry on implementing decisions which were taken for saving energy. To predict effects of environment and efficiency of energy on purchased equipment.
   26. To implement his responsibilities in order to eliminate and collect waste in a proper way reduce environmental pollution and harmful effects to the environment and lead to staffs.

To provide carrying chemicals safely carrying storing and using in accordance with laws controlling reducing chemical dirtiness.

Qualifications :

• Education: 4-year bachelors degree
• Experience: Prefered extensive F&B Backgrounds Minimum of 10 years of related work experience or 2 years work experience in a lower position and extensive experience with applying the main principles and/or different methods.
• Foreign Language: Fluent English additional languages are a plus.
• Courses and Training: Requires sufficient theoretical and practical background and attendance in courses and seminars in the related field.
• Computer Literacy: MS Office applications.
• Skills: Expected to have excellent command of systems/legislation in the related field. Expected to offer consulting to other employees when needed. Some roles require practical knowledge of systems/programmes/software in the related field. Expected to manage and guide the sub-functions of the section/group s/he reports to.
