What is this role?
As a Software Engineer at FlapKap, you will play a pivotal role in building our tech.
We are seeking talented full-stack engineers proficient in both standard software engineering practices and cutting-edge, AI-driven workflows.
In this role, you will be tasked with developing deterministic flows utilizing specialized AI tools, enforcing spec-driven development, and executing rigorous full-cycle testing—including integration, validation, and end-to-end (E2E) testing within isolated environments.
This is a hands-on technical role for an engineer passionate about leveraging modern AI workflows alongside robust software engineering practices to drive the next generation of FlapKap's fintech platform.
Job Responsibilities: Design and build scalable full-stack applications and integration services.
Develop and implement deterministic AI-driven workflows using specialized AI tooling.
Follow and enforce spec-driven development practices across product and engineering initiatives.
Manage full-cycle testing strategies, including unit, integration, validation, and E2E testing in isolated environments.
Ensure system reliability, security, clean code practices, and maintainable software architecture.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in full-stack development (frontend and backend) and building AI-driven workflows.
Demonstrated capability to construct and control deterministic execution flows using AI tools and frameworks.
Strong proficiency in spec-driven development methodology.
Deep expertise in multi-level testing strategies (integration, validation, E2E) and establishing isolated testing environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Technical Skills & Competencies: (Must have) Technical Skills: AI-Driven Spec-to-Code Mastery: Expert proficiency in translating product specifications into deterministic, high-efficiency code using AI tooling, with complete control over architectural design and code structure.
AI Code Review & Deterministic Refinement: Advanced ability to audit, debug, and optimize AI-generated code, ensuring structural integrity, logic correctness, and performance before integration.
AI Agent Orchestration & Control: Design and manage autonomous AI agents for complex task execution, maintaining predictable system states and robust error handling in agentic workflows.
Deterministic Pipeline Engineering: Architect and control reliable, deterministic AI-driven pipelines, where every input-to-output cycle is verifiable and tested within fully isolated E2E environments.
Core Competencies: User-Centric Product Thinking: Ability to empathize with end-users and translate business needs into intuitive technical features, ensuring alignment with overall product vision.
Strategic Roadmap Alignment: Understanding of product lifecycle and trade-offs, enabling informed technical decisions that balance immediate feature delivery with long-term scalability and business value.
