Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in our software development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and user-centric applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and fellow quality assurance engineers to identify defects, validate system functionality, and champion a culture of excellence in our digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Perform manual and automated testing to identify bugs, performance bottlenecks, and usability issues.
• Document all test results, track defects using industry-standard bug tracking systems, and verify bug fixes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with user needs.
• Assist in the maintenance and optimization of test environments and automated test frameworks.
• Provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback to the development team throughout the sprint process.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 1 to 2 years of proven experience in a software testing or quality assurance capacity.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and test management tools.
• Proficiency in executing both functional and non-functional tests.

Required Skills

• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience with SQL for database verification and testing.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, or Cypress) is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, agile team environment.
