Regional Finance Manager
Department: Finance Reports to: Regional Director Experience: 8-10+ years Location: Cairo, Egypt Employment Type: Full-time

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Regional Finance Manager to join our Finance organization and take ownership of key accounting and financial operations across the region.
This is a senior, hands-on finance role combining technical accounting, financial reporting, revenue recognition, audit management, financial controls, and process improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Director and regional leadership while serving as a key point of contact for accounting and finance matters.
We are looking for someone who can operate independently, challenge existing processes, solve complex accounting issues, and help build a scalable and well-controlled regional finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
• Lead and oversee regional accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Review general ledger activity, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, account reconciliations, fixed assets, and balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of regional financial records.
• Review financial and management reports prepared by controller for regional leadership.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Support regional leadership with financial analysis and accounting guidance.
IFRS & Technical Accounting
• Ensure regional accounting practices comply with IFRS Accounting Standards and company policies.
• Review customer contracts and determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
• Analyze performance obligations, transaction prices, contract modifications, deferred revenue, contract assets and liabilities, and revenue recognition schedules in accordance with IFRS 15.
• Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for complex and long-term customer contracts.
• Document significant accounting judgments, estimates, and conclusions.
Audit & External Reporting
• Act as the primary finance contact for external auditors.
• Review and Coordinate with Regional Controller the preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and financial statements.
• Manage audit requests and ensure timely and accurate responses from Controller and team.
• Support statutory reporting and other regulatory requirements across the region.
Financial Controls & Process Improvement
• Maintain and continuously improve regional accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify control weaknesses and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of finance processes.
• Identify opportunities for automation and standardization across regional finance operations.
• Ensure appropriate controls over financial data, system access, approvals, and reporting.
• Participate in finance transformation and system implementation projects.
Regional Finance & Business Partnership
• Support finance activities across multiple countries, entities, and currencies.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Legal, HR, and other functions on financial and accounting matters.
• Work with commercial teams to ensure customer contracts and commercial arrangements are appropriately reflected in the accounting records.
• Provide financial insight and accounting guidance to regional stakeholders.
• Support regional budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and other strategic finance initiatives.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and escalate significant matters to regional leadership.
Team Leadership
• Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to accounting team members.
• Review the quality and accuracy of accounting work.
• Establish clear processes, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
• Develop the capabilities of the regional finance team.
• Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent.
