Packaging Designer — Magico Group???? Cairo, Egypt · Full-Time · On-site Company Description Magico Group has manufactured in Egypt since 1992. Our factory in Obour City has been in production since 2005, and we are ISO 9001 certified. We make and sell more than 150 products — agrochemicals, public health solutions, veterinary pesticides and disinfectants — including our own brands and the lines we represent for multinational manufacturers in Egypt. We are also building an export business in fertilizers and industrial raw materials, which brings new packaging formats and new markets with it. Role Description On our products, the package does three jobs at once. It has to sell on a dealer's shelf, survive a chemical inside it and a truck ride to Upper Egypt, and carry regulatory label content that has to be correct in every word. You will own that work, from first concept through to the approved press proof. What you will do Design packaging and labels across the portfolio: bottles, jerrycans, sachets, pouches, foil bags, cartons, shrink sleeves and multi-page booklet labels Lay out regulated label content in Arabic and English: registration details, hazard pictograms, signal words, safety and first-aid text, dose rates and pre-harvest intervals, with space reserved for batch and expiry printing Work with Regulatory to make sure every label matches its approved registration before it goes to print Build accurate die-lines and print-ready artwork: bleed, colour separations, Pantone and CMYK, barcodes, and preflight checks Work with printers and packaging suppliers on materials, proofs and press checks, and catch problems before a run, not after it Keep our own brands consistent across product lines, and apply multinational principals' brand guidelines exactly where they apply Develop packaging for the export line: woven bags, big bags and private-label retail packs, including labels for other languages and markets Keep an organised artwork library with version control, so the approved file is always the one that gets printed Look for savings in material, format and print cost without weakening the pack What you will be measured on Artwork approved first time, no label errors reaching print, launch dates met, and packaging cost kept under control. Qualifications Essential A portfolio of packaging that has been printed and sold. Concepts are welcome, but we will judge you on produced work3+ years in packaging design, preferably in agrochemicals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, FMCG or cosmetics Strong Arabic typesetting: clean, legible Arabic and bilingual layouts, not Arabic dropped into an English template Expert in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, plus preflight and print-production tools Practical knowledge of printing processes (flexo, offset, gravure and digital), colour management and packaging substrates Able to build and read die-lines, and to prepare files a printer can run without sending them back Precise with detail. A wrong digit in a dose rate or registration number is a recall, not a typo Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Industrial Design or a related field Advantageous Experience with regulated labelling: pesticide, veterinary, pharmaceutical or GHS hazard labelling Familiarity with Egyptian pesticide label requirements under the Agricultural Pesticide Committee3D mockup or packaging visualisation skills (e.g. Adobe Dimension, Artios CAD, Esko) Experience with booklet labels, shrink sleeves or flexible packaging Comfortable using AI tools for concept exploration and mockups What We Offer Competitive salary A 150-product portfolio across several brands and product categories Ownership of packaging from concept to shelf, with a short path to approval Export projects that take your work into new markets How to Apply????
