As a Cloud SOC Design Engineer, you will support the design and implementation of Next-Gen Detection and Response capabilities for our clients. Working alongside experienced engineers and architects, you will contribute to the implementation and enhancement of security technologies and support the analysis and design activities required to build effective Security Operations capabilities.

You will gain hands-on experience across modern SOC technologies and cloud environments while contributing to technical design, implementation, and advisory engagements.

Job responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation, configuration, and integration of SOC technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and NDR solutions.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of security use cases, detection rules, dashboards, and automated workflows.
• Support technical analysis and design activities to identify appropriate security solutions based on client requirements and existing environments.
• Assist senior engineers and architects in developing technical designs, solution documentation, and implementation plans.
• Contribute to the assessment of existing SOC capabilities and identify opportunities for technical and process improvements.
• Research emerging threats, technologies, and industry practices to support solution design and advisory activities.
• Collaborate with Deloitte and client teams throughout the design and implementation lifecycle.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

To succeed in this role, you will need to match the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in SOC and Cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience or strong exposure to the implementation and configuration of SOC technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, or NDR.
• Good understanding of Security Operations, including detection and response concepts and how SOC technologies integrate within a security environment.
• Experience with at least one SIEM or SOAR technology, such as Google SecOps (Chronicle), Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Cortex XSOAR/XSIAM, or ArcSight.
• Exposure to EDR/XDR or NDR technologies such as Microsoft Defender XDR, CrowdStrike, Corelight, or similar solutions.
• Exposure to cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
• Exposure to technical design documentation, including HLDs and LLDs, is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in developing expertise across security engineering, architecture, and advisory.
• Strong command of the English language.
