• We are seeking a manager with hands-on experience in establishing and operating supermarkets to join a new supermarket project in Cairo.

• The manager will work with the project owner from the setup phase through to the opening, and subsequently oversee full operational management.

• Coordinate with senior management, construction, procurement, IT, HR, finance, marketing, security, and other relevant departments.

• Ensure the store is operationally ready before opening, including equipment, fixtures, signage, POS systems, refrigeration, storage, back-office areas, and staff facilities.

• Establish store layouts, department locations, customer flow, stockroom organization, and operational procedures.

• Coordinate licenses, permits, inspections, health and safety requirements, and other regulatory prerequisites as applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Hospitality, or a related discipline.

• Professional retail or operations certifications are an advantage.

Experience

• Typically 5–10+ years of relevant retail/supermarket operations experience, including management responsibility.

• Proven experience in supermarket, hypermarket, grocery, FMCG retail, or similar high-volume retail environments.

• Previous new-store opening / pre-opening experience is highly preferred.

• Experience managing multiple departments and large frontline teams.

• Experience with inventory management, merchandising, procurement, POS, and retail systems.
