Your Role As a BIW Development Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of body-in-white parts and sub-assemblies, from the digital mock-up to the validation of deliverables. You will work closely with the product, process, and industrialization teams to ensure robust, compliant, and industrializable solutions. In this role, you will be required to: Design BIW parts and sub-assemblies in 3D using CATIA V5/V6, then create 2D drawings in accordance with manufacturer standards. Update digital models, apply functional dimensioning and geometric tolerances (GD&T), and check the quality of the studies before distribution. Integrate manufacturing, stamping, assembly, welding, and mounting constraints from the design phase. Analyze vehicle interfaces, participate in product and process feasibility studies, and contribute to resolving problems detected during validations. Handle ECR/ECO technical developments, update bills of materials (BOMs) and manage product data in PLM tools such as ENOVIA. Participate in design reviews and convergence meetings with business teams, while respecting milestones and Quality-Cost-Delivery commitments.

Desired Candidate Profile

Your profile: Master's degree (Bac+5) in mechanical engineering, automotive design, or a related field. Proven experience in the design and development of BIW parts or sub-assemblies. Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, 2D drafting, functional dimensioning, and GD&T. Good knowledge of stamping, assembly, and welding processes, as well as PLM tools. Rigor, analytical skills, collaborative spirit, and the ability to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
