Water Treatment Laboratory Technician | Tanger (Morocco)

Join our active team in the energy sector as a Water Treatment Laboratory Technician. Located in the city of Tangier, this job offers you a special chance to help make our facilities perform well and last long.

Your main jobs will include:

• Organize the sampling plan and take samples of raw, intermediate, treated water, and sludge, following the right methods and tracking system.
• Do the analyses required by the site, like pH, conductivity, turbidity, suspended solids, COD, nutrients, or other measures using the available methods and tools.
• Prepare reagents, standards, and controls; calibrate and check instruments, record any differences, and do the lab's regular maintenance.
• Check if the results make sense, spot any errors, quickly alert the operations team, and suggest re-doing analyses if needed.
• Keep records of analyses, calibration, stock, and waste; create daily summaries and help with regular reports.
• Coordinate sending samples to outside labs and compare their results with our internal measurements.
• Follow good laboratory practices and safety rules for chemicals and samples.

You will also help improve the methods for analysis and treatment processes.

Required profile :

To do well in this role, you need a 2-year college degree (Bac +2 level) in chemistry.

Work experience of 3 to 5 years in a similar field will be a big plus.

• Further education in Methods / Process / Industrialization is preferred.
• Experience desired in an industrial wastewater laboratory or in treatment process control.
• Carefulness, independence, and good organization skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of environmental rules for water treatment.
