Job Description

Mission :

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the maintenance activities of the desalination plant, ensuring the availability, reliability, and proper functioning of the equipment and facilities. Ensure the efficient execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans, optimizing available resources and ensuring compliance with ACCIONA's quality, safety, environmental, and operational efficiency standards.

Main functions:

• Maintenance planning and management: Develop, organize and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance plans for plant equipment and facilities, including mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Equipment and facilities management: Monitor the condition and operation of the main equipment of the desalination plant, such as pumps, motors, valves, filtration systems, high pressure equipment, energy recovery systems and instrumentation, coordinating the necessary actions to ensure their reliability and availability.
• Failure and Incident Management: Coordinate the identification, diagnosis, and resolution of failures, prioritizing interventions according to their criticality and impact on plant operations. Analyze the root causes of recurring failures and propose corrective and preventive measures.
• Team management: Coordinate and supervise maintenance personnel, distributing tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring completed work. Promote the team's technical development and adherence to work procedures.
• Spare parts and supply management: Control inventory and stock levels of spare parts and critical materials, anticipate supply needs and coordinate requests for proposals from suppliers, the acquisition of materials and the monitoring of supplies.
• Supplier and subcontractor management: Coordinate and supervise the activities of contracting companies and maintenance service providers, verifying the quality of the work, compliance with deadlines and the established technical and safety conditions.
• Monitoring indicators and continuous improvement: Define and monitor maintenance indicators, such as equipment availability, failure frequency, compliance with preventive maintenance plans, and maintenance costs. Propose initiatives to improve asset reliability and optimize resources.
• Safety, health and environment: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures in all maintenance activities, including the coordination of business activities, work permits and applicable prevention measures.
• Coordination with Operations: Work jointly with the Operations team to plan interventions, coordinate scheduled shutdowns and minimize the impact of maintenance work on plant continuity and performance.
• Document management and reports: Prepare activity reports, record the interventions carried out and ensure the availability of technical documentation and updated maintenance procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

Main requirements:

• University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent training.
• Professional experience in industrial maintenance positions, preferably in desalination plants, water treatment facilities or industrial process facilities.
• Experience in planning and management of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electromechanical equipment, instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience in coordinating technical teams, managing suppliers and supervising subcontracting companies.
• Experience with CMMS tools and knowledge of spare parts management and maintenance indicators.
• Knowledge of occupational risk prevention and industrial safety procedures.
