Role Overview: Carpenter
The Carpenter is responsible for performing carpentry, repair, maintenance, and installation tasks throughout the hotel. This full-time role ensures that all wooden elements, including furniture, doors, fixtures, and fittings, are maintained to high standards of quality, safety, and appearance, directly supporting hotel operations and enhancing the guest experience. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
Key Responsibilities

Perform carpentry repairs, maintenance, installation, and modification works across the hotel premises.
Repair and maintain doors, locks, frames, cabinets, furniture, shelving, partitions, and other wooden fixtures.
Inspect furniture, fixtures, and wooden installations to identify damage, defects, or maintenance requirements.
Execute preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules and work orders.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guest rooms, public areas, offices, and back-of-house areas.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, install, and finish wood and other materials to required specifications.
Repair and restore furniture and decorative wooden elements while adhering to hotel quality and appearance standards.
Install and adjust doors, hinges, locks, handles, cabinets, shelving, and related fittings.
Read and follow drawings, measurements, technical instructions, and work specifications as required.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and correctly.
Ensure all completed work meets hotel quality, safety, and operational standards.
Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
Monitor carpentry materials and spare parts, reporting replenishment requirements when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and repair activities.
Coordinate with other Engineering team members and hotel departments when performing maintenance work.
Support hotel projects, renovations, installations, and operational requirements as needed.
Adhere to all health, safety, and fire prevention procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by Engineering management.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of carpentry repairs, maintenance, and installation tasks.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Work Environment
This is a full-time position within the hotel environment, requiring coordination with various departments and adherence to strict safety and quality standards. The role involves working as part of the Engineering team to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of hotel facilities.
