Senior Engineer - Geotechnical

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in soil mechanics foundation engineering and geotechnical design combined with practical field experience and strong project management capabilities.

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering deliverables within the PMC framework overseeing multiple design consultants and contractors.
• Provide expert input on geotechnical investigations analysis and design for diverse elements such as high-rise buildings basements transportation infrastructure and public realm works.
• Review and approve geotechnical reports method statements risk assessments and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with design infrastructure utilities and construction management teams to resolve geotechnical issues across project phases.
• Evaluate ground conditions and provide recommendations on foundation systems retaining structures earthworks ground improvement dewatering and slope stabilization.
• Ensure adherence to international and local codes.
• Participate in value engineering constructability reviews and risk workshops.
• Support field teams in supervising site investigations QA/QC of groundworks and geotechnical instrumentation monitoring.
• Contribute to technical governance assurance and lessons learned across the project lifecycle

Qualifications :

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in civil or Geotechnical Engineering (required); Masters degree (preferred).
• 10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a senior role on major urban development or infrastructure projects.
• Previous PMC client-representative or multidisciplinary consultancy experience is highly desirable.
• Proven expertise in complex geotechnical works including deep foundations shoring systems soil-structure interaction and challenging subsurface conditions.
• Familiarity with local geotechnical conditions in Riyadh or similar arid collapsible soil environments is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and technical interfaces.
