1. Performing multi-process welding operations (SMAW, GTAW/TIG, FCAW) on carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel pipes, fittings, and structural components according to WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).

2. Interpreting engineering isometric drawings, welding symbols, joint details, and project specifications prior to executing fit-up and welding tasks.

3. Conducting joint preparation, cleaning, beveling, alignment, and tack welding in compliance with project tolerance and quality standards.

4. Operating specialized welding equipment, regulators, torches, and auxiliary tools safely and effectively; performing routine maintenance and pre-use checks.

5. Executing high-integrity welds capable of passing stringent Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) criteria, including Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT).

6. Monitoring and maintaining proper pre-heat, interpass temperature, and heat input requirements as specified in applicable welding procedures.

7. Identifying welding defects (such as porosity, slag inclusions, lack of penetration, or undercut) in advance and carrying out proper repair procedures as authorized.

8. Coordinating closely with Welding Inspectors (QC), Fitters, and Site Foremen to maintain smooth production flow and adhere to project completion schedules.

9. Ensuring full compliance with site safety policies, hot work permit requirements, proper ventilation, and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards during all thermal cutting and welding operations.

10. Maintaining precise documentation and stamping on completed welds for traceability as required by quality assurance protocols.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Education / Trade Credential: High School Diploma, Vocational Diploma, or certified ITI Trade Certificate in Welding.

2. Certifications:

   • Must hold valid Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) records / Welder Cards for SMAW (6G / 6GR) and GTAW/TIG processes.

   • Saudi Aramco Welder Approval / Card (SMAW + GTAW combination on carbon/alloy steel pipe) is highly preferred.

3. Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience as a Multi Welder in Oil & Gas Cross-Country Pipeline construction projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
