Sales Assistant

Job Summary

Summary of the Sales Assistant Role:

This role supports the sales and commercial team in managing customer accounts by handling routine account related coordinating internal processes and maintaining accurate records.

The role focuses on daytoday account coordination and customer support including payment follow-ups. This position will also be responsible for managing all office administration-related activities.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities -

1. Customer Account Support

• Support all customer accounts with routine operational and administrative activities.
• Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure timely information flow and issue followup supporting with invoices and statements of accounts for payment-related activities.
• Escalate commercial or service-related issues to senior sales team members as required.

2. Relationship & Learning Focus

• Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage smaller customers to develop account management skills.
• Develop product knowledge technical understanding and applications etc.
• Support continuous improvement in customer service and internal processes.

3. Sales Reporting & Analysis

• Assist in preparing regular sales and customer performance reports.
• Support analysis of sales trends forecasts and open orders for assigned customers.
• Maintain accurate customer sales data and documentation.

4. Forecasting Support

• Support collection of customer forecast information and maintain shared forecast files.
• Assist in preparing FC vs Actual vs Open Orders reports.
• Support forecast uploads and system updates as instructed.

5. SAP Master Data Support

• Assist with SAP master data maintenance for customers including ShipTo / SoldTo records.
• Support material extensions and basic master data queries.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of customer data.

6. Office Administration -

• Facilitate renewing of office Government licenses other registered documents and office insurance
• Vendor management (office supplies water supply plant maintenance cleaning service)
• Equipment management/maintenance and courier services.
• Translation of Arabic documents to support any requirement for local and global support.

Requirements (education experience competencies and specific job requirements):

• Degree or Diploma in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry Qualification.
• Graduate/ 3-4 years working experience with Technical Sales support customer service sales administration or commercial operations. Exposure to customerfacing roles or account support is an advantage.
• Arabic language skills are compulsory.
