About the Role

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Lead Estimator to join its team in the Eastern region. This full-time position requires extensive experience in project cost estimation, specifically for major Oil and Gas/Pipeline projects.

Role Overview

The Lead Estimator will be responsible for overseeing and managing the preparation of classified estimates throughout various project development stages. This role involves coordinating with project teams and ensuring adherence to best practices in cost estimation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of classified estimates during project development stages.
• Prepare and manage estimate plans.
• Utilize the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) process for developing the estimate cost breakdown structure.
• Prepare and review cost estimate basis, including Productivity Factor, All-in Rates, Material, and Construction costs.
• Lead and coordinate with project teams to develop all requirements needed for the Total Installed Cost (TIC) Estimate.
• Review, validate, and present cost estimate reports to management and clients.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to other estimators and ensure estimating best practices are followed.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project cost estimation.
• Proficiency in all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (advantageous).
• Familiarity with SAEP-25.
