Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth and continuous operation of the assigned floor area.
• Supervise the performance conduct and task execution of the floor operations team.
• Plan and manage manpower movement across the floor based on operational needs and priorities.
• Monitor and address improper baggage induction at check-in counters to prevent system disruptions.
• Oversee the proper handling and circulation of grey tubs ensuring availability and system efficiency.
• Monitor ongoing maintenance activities coordinating with operations and ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
• Ensure daily task allocation and provide clear instructions and supervision to team members.
• Promote and enforce compliance with company policies safety standards and Vanderlandes core values acting as a role model.
• Identify and address performance or behavioral issues among staff promptly and professionally.
• Provide training and support to new or less experienced team members to ensure readiness and competence.
• Report all operational cases and incidents including improper induction cases promptly and accurately to the Shift Leader or Vanderlande Control Room for timely resolution.
• Report any operational maintenance or cleanliness issues to the relevant authorities promptly.
• Perform any additional tasks or duties as assigned by the line manager to support smooth operations and team efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 23 years of experience in field operations preferably within the airport or aviation industry.
• Proven experience in customer-facing roles with the ability to handle costumer requests and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Strong supervisory skills with experience in team coordination manpower planning & allocation and performance oversight.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities capable of working effectively with colleagues management and external partners.
• Fluent in Arabic and English both spoken and written.
• Good understanding of airport procedures safety standards and general aviation protocols is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and respond quickly in time-sensitive or challenging operational environments.
• Ability to maintain a high standard of professionalism discipline and reliability in daily responsibilities.
• Ability to work in shift pattern
