JOB TITLE:

Joinery Draftsman & Cutting List Technician – Dammam

JOB DESCRIPTION:

One of the largest wood manufacturing factories in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Joinery Draftsman & Cutting List Technician to join its factory team in Dammam.

The successful candidate must be able to independently prepare accurate, production-ready drawings and cutting lists for furniture, wooden doors, kitchens, wardrobes, architectural joinery, and fire-rated wooden doors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed shop drawings and production drawings based on approved designs, specifications, and site measurements.

• Prepare accurate cutting lists, bills of materials, and hardware schedules for production.

• Produce drawings for furniture, wooden doors, kitchens, wardrobes, architectural joinery, and fire-rated wooden doors.

• Clearly specify dimensions, sections, materials, finishes, edge banding, hardware, and joinery details.

• Coordinate with production, CNC, procurement, estimation, project, and installation teams.

• Review drawings and cutting lists before releasing them to production.

• Minimise material waste by preparing accurate quantities and optimised cutting information.

• Update drawings according to approved revisions and site conditions.

• Ensure that fire-rated door drawings follow the approved specifications, tested systems, and required hardware details.

• Resolve technical and production-related drawing issues promptly.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in joinery or wood manufacturing drafting.

• Proven experience preparing production drawings and cutting lists for ALL of the following: furniture, wooden doors, kitchens, wardrobes, and fire-rated wooden doors.

• Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD.

• Ability to independently convert designs, specifications, and site measurements into production-ready drawings and cutting lists.

• Strong knowledge of MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneer, laminates, finishes, accessories, and joinery hardware.

• Strong understanding of wood manufacturing and assembly methods.

• Experience coordinating directly with factory production teams.

• Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Dammam.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, Production Technology, or a related field.

• Experience with CAD/CAM, Cabinet Vision, SketchUp, or similar software.

• Familiarity with CNC production requirements.

• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
