Job Summary

Responsible for infrastructure automation, scripting, patch management, configuration compliance, and automated remediation across enterprise IT environments. The role improves operational efficiency, infrastructure consistency, security, and compliance through automation and standardized configuration management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and workflows.
• Automate repetitive infrastructure administration and operational tasks.
• Develop automation using Ansible, PowerShell, and other scripting tools.
• Plan and execute operating system and infrastructure patching activities.
• Monitor patch deployment and resolve failed or incomplete deployments.
• Maintain patch compliance and reporting.
• Manage infrastructure configuration baselines and compliance.
• Identify configuration deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop automated remediation workflows for recurring infrastructure issues.
• Integrate automation with monitoring and ITSM platforms where applicable.
• Troubleshoot automation, patching, and configuration issues.
• Support L2/L3 infrastructure incidents and technical escalations.
• Work with Windows, Linux, VMware, Cloud, Network, and Security teams.
• Maintain automation scripts, configuration documentation, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and infrastructure optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, automation, DevOps, or configuration management.
• Strong experience with infrastructure automation and scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and/or PowerShell.
• Experience in patch management and configuration compliance.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server and/or Linux.
• Experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with enterprise IT infrastructure environments.

Certifications

• Ansible Automation Certification – Preferred.
• Microsoft Administration Certification – Preferred.
• VMware Administration Certification – Preferred.
• ITIL Foundation – Preferred.
