Site Engineer – Testing commissioning
FACTS Maintenance
Job Summary
Site Engineer with strong expertise in maintenance of FACTS systems, primarily SVC, FSC & STATCOM, responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and continuous operation of FACTS installations. The role focuses on preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance, fault analysis.

Key Responsibilities
FACTS Maintenance

• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of FACTS systems in line with OEM maintenance manuals.
• Maintain and troubleshoot thyristor valves, IGBT’s , firing circuits, fiber optics, control & protection panels, cooling systems, reactors, capacitors, and harmonic filters.
• Monitor system health, degraded modes, alarms, and event logs to ensure high availability and fast restoration.
• Execute periodic functional checks of control, protection, interlocks, and redundancy systems.
• Manage critical FACTS spare parts, ensuring testing and validation of cards and modules before acceptance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, fault reports, and technical documentation.

Fault Analysis & Reliability

• Analyze FACTS system trips, abnormal operation, and protection events; implement root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Coordinate with OEM engineers for complex failures, upgrades, and technical support.

Main Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in maintenance of FACTS equipment.
• Strong expertise in SVC, FSC & STATCOM systems.
• Solid knowledge of power systems, MV/HV substations, and electrical protection & testing.
• Valid SEC ID, Driving License, and WPT C1 or C2 certification.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, safety focus, and effective communication.
