We are currently hiring Static Equipment Mechanical Engineers - SME for an opportunity in Saudi Arabia.

Position: Static Equipment Mechanical Engineer - SME
Location: Saudi Arabia
Gross Salary: SAR 8,000 - 10,000 per month + HRA + TA

Important Salary Note: Candidates without previous RCM experience will be considered under the minimum gross salary of SAR 8,000.

Job Overview

The Static Equipment Mechanical Engineer - SME will provide technical expertise during Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), FMEA/FMECA and reliability studies for static equipment.

The role focuses on identifying equipment functions, degradation mechanisms, credible failure modes, risk mitigation measures and effective maintenance strategies to ensure asset integrity, reliability, safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for static equipment during RCM, FMEA, RBI and reliability workshops.

  
  
  

• Define equipment functions, performance standards and functional failures.

  
  
  

• Identify credible failure modes, damage mechanisms and deterioration processes.

  
  
  

• Evaluate consequences of failure related to personnel safety, environmental impact, production loss and asset integrity.

  
  
  

• Review historical inspection data, thickness measurements, NDT reports, corrosion monitoring records and failure history.

  
  
  

• Recommend appropriate maintenance and inspection strategies including:

  
  
  

  • Risk-Based Inspection (RBI)

    
    
    

  • Preventive Maintenance (PM)

    
    
    

  • Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM)

    
    
    

  • Inspection-Based Maintenance

    
    
    

  • Run-to-Failure, where applicable

    
    
    

• Assess inspection frequencies and task intervals based on risk, degradation rates and operating conditions.

  
  
  

• Review compliance with API, ASME and applicable industry standards.

  
  
  

• Support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) of equipment failures and loss-of-containment events.

  
  
  

• Recommend equipment upgrades, repairs and asset-life extension measures.

  
  
  

• Validate maintenance tasks, inspection plans and integrity management programs generated through RCM studies.

  
  
  

• Support risk ranking and maintenance strategy selection.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical Engineering or related discipline.

  
  
  

• 8+ years of experience in static equipment integrity, inspection, reliability or maintenance engineering.

  
  
  

• Experience in refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, power generation or heavy industrial facilities.

  
  
  

• Participation in RCM, FMEA/FMECA, RBI, RCFA or Asset Integrity programs.

  
  
  

• Familiarity with SAP PM.

  
  
  

SAR 11,000 - 14,000 Gross per month, depending on experience and suitability.
