Role Description The Commissioner is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, responsible for overseeing and coordinating key regulatory, governance, or oversight functions related to investment and asset management activities. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and approving policies, monitoring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and ensuring that internal frameworks align with best practices and organizational objectives. The role involves analyzing market and macroeconomic developments, assessing risks, and providing guidance on investment strategies and operational decisions. The Commissioner collaborates with senior leadership, investment teams, legal and compliance professionals, and external stakeholders to maintain transparency, integrity, and accountability. The position also includes preparing reports, presenting findings to decision-makers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of governance and oversight standards.

Qualifications

• Strong background in financial services, asset management, or regulatory oversight, with experience in governance, policy development, and compliance.
• Proficiency in risk assessment, macroeconomic and market analysis, and understanding of multi-strategy or value-oriented investment approaches.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and publicly available information.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to draft clear reports and present recommendations to senior leadership and external bodies.
• Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to ethical standards and client-focused stewardship.
• Relevant university degree in finance, economics, law, business, public policy, or a related field; advanced qualifications or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, legal or regulatory credentials) are an advantage.
• Experience working in or with regulatory authorities, government agencies, or oversight bodies in the financial sector is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and collaborate effectively within a multicultural, multidisciplinary team environment.
