The ideal candidate Responsible for preparing and designing mechanical systems for projects in accordance with approved engineering codes and standards, including HVAC, fire-fighting, plumbing and drainage systems. Performs engineering calculations, selects appropriate equipment, and ensures designs comply with project requirements and international standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare mechanical designs for various projects according to approved engineering standards.
- Perform preliminary and detailed engineering calculations for:
- HVAC systems
- Fire-fighting systems
- Plumbing & drainage systems
- Calculate cooling loads and select appropriate equipment.
- Design duct sizing and piping networks.
- Prepare execution drawings and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Review and approve mechanical materials and equipment.
- Comply with international codes and standards such as:
- ASHRAE
- NFPA
- IPC / UPC
- Use specialized engineering software for design and modeling.
- Coordinate with project teams and consultants to ensure design quality.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in mechanical design for engineering projects.
- Previous experience preferred in:
- Engineering consulting firms.
- Real-estate development or commercial projects.
