Job Description: Network Operations Center (NOC) – Team Lead with Data Center Colocation & Connectivity Services

Role : Network Operations Center (NOC)

Purpose : NOC Team Leader is responsible for managing the operational health, monitoring, incident response, and technical support activities for Data Center and Connectivity services. The role ensures network availability, rapid incident resolution, technical escalation management, and continuous service improvement while maintaining compliance with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

NOC Operations Management

• Lead 24x7 NOC operations.

• Ensure continuous monitoring of:

  • Data Center Infrastructure

  • Network Services

  • Connectivity Services

  • Cloud Connectivity Platforms

  • Managed Services Environments

• Manage shift handovers and operational continuity.

Incident & Major Incident Management

• Lead technical incident response activities.

• Act as Incident Manager during major outages.

• Coordinate with:

  • Network Engineering Teams

  • Data Center Operations

  • Vendors

  • Service Delivery Teams

• Drive service restoration within SLA commitments.

Technical Leadership

• Provide Level 2 operational guidance to NOC engineers.

• Review incident diagnostics and troubleshooting plans.

• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.

• Ensure proper escalation to engineering teams when required.

Monitoring & Event Management

• Manage proactive monitoring tools.

• Ensure effective alarm management and event correlation.

• Reduce false positives and alert fatigue.

• Improve monitoring efficiency and visibility.

Problem Management

• Analyze recurring incidents.

• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) discussions.

• Implement preventive and corrective actions.

Capacity & Availability Management

• Monitor service availability trends.

• Review network utilization and performance metrics.

• Identify risks affecting service reliability.

Reporting & Governance

• Prepare operational reports covering:

  • Availability

  • MTTR

  • Incident Trends

  • Network Performance

  • Service Reliability

• Support customer reviews and audit activities.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor NOC Engineers and Analysts.

• Develop technical training plans.

• Drive technical skill enhancement programs.

Experience

• 6-10 years in NOC Operations or Network Operations.

• Minimum 2-3 years leading NOC teams.

• Strong experience supporting:

  • Data Center Operations

  • ISP / Telecom Networks

  • Enterprise Connectivity Services

  • Managed Network Services

• Experience in Major Incident Management.

• Cisco CCNA / CCNP

• Juniper JNCIA / JNCIS

• Fortinet NSE

• Aruba Certifications
