About the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Resident Engineer to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Supervise and manage the daily activities of the Engineering Department supervisors and subordinates.
- Ensure that the property and assets are maintained in the highest order through the effective management of the Jumeirah Engineering Management System.
- Monitor completed repair and maintenance works to ensure that established standards have been met.
- Assist in the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the JEMS (Jumeirah Engineering Management System), including the Fire, Life and Safety Matrix, PPM, and Work Order Systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property and engineering systems to identify maintenance requirements and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
- Coordinate with relevant hotel departments to ensure engineering requests and operational requirements are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Monitor the performance of contractors, suppliers, and external service providers to ensure compliance with required standards.
- Communicate engineering and project updates to internal departments and external entities in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, or a related Engineering discipline
· 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in Engineering, preferably within a luxury hotel environment
· Experience in building maintenance, MEP systems, preventive maintenance, and engineering operations
· Health and Safety certification
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to supervise and coordinate Engineering teams and external contractors
· Proficiency in English
