Job Description: Fracturing Electronic Technician Position: Fracturing Electronic Technician Number of Positions: 2 Location: Saudi Arabia Industry: Oil & Gas / Well Services Rotation: 8 Weeks On / 4 Weeks Off Position Overview A major Oil & Gas Services Company operating in Saudi Arabia is seeking 2 experienced Fracturing Electronic Technicians to support its hydraulic fracturing operations. The successful candidates will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and control systems associated with hydraulic fracturing equipment. The role requires strong practical experience with electronic control systems, data acquisition systems, instrumentation, sensors, PLCs, electrical/electronic equipment, and computerized fracturing systems. The technician will work closely with fracturing operators, engineers, supervisors, and other field personnel to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test electronic and control systems used in hydraulic fracturing operations.
- Perform pre-job inspections, functional testing, calibration, and commissioning of electronic equipment.
- Maintain electronic control systems associated with fracturing pumps, blenders, chemical systems, hydration units, data acquisition systems, and associated equipment.
- Diagnose faults in electronic circuits, control panels, PLC systems, communication networks, sensors, transmitters, and instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot pressure, temperature, flow, density, vibration, and other field instrumentation.
- Install, test, calibrate, and maintain sensors and measurement devices.
- Support the operation and maintenance of fracturing data acquisition and monitoring systems.
- Assist with integration and communication between fracturing equipment, control systems, and data acquisition platforms.
- Perform calibration and verification of electronic and instrumentation equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Use electronic test equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, signal generators, calibrators, and diagnostic tools.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams, instrumentation drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Identify and rectify electronic and instrumentation faults efficiently to minimize operational downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, calibrations, faults, and equipment status.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on electronic and control equipment.
- Assist with equipment rig-up, function testing, pressure testing, and pre-job checks where required.
- Ensure spare parts, tools, test equipment, and electronic components are properly maintained and available for operations.
- Work closely with Fracturing Supervisors, Equipment Operators, Engineers, and Maintenance Personnel.
- Participate in toolbox talks, pre-job meetings, risk assessments, and HSE activities.
- Comply with all company, client, and Saudi Arabian HSE requirements.
- Participate in emergency response activities as required.
Technical Responsibilities
The successful candidate should have practical knowledge of, and experience with, some or all of the following:

Required Experience
- Proven experience as an Electronic Technician, Instrumentation Technician, or Electrical/Electronic Technician within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Previous experience supporting hydraulic fracturing or well services equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting electronic and instrumentation systems.
- Experience with PLCs, control systems, data acquisition systems, sensors, and field instrumentation.
- Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation drawings.
- Experience with calibration and testing of electronic instruments.
- Ability to diagnose faults using appropriate electronic test and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience working in demanding field environments and supporting continuous operations.
- Strong understanding of HSE requirements associated with oilfield and high-pressure equipment.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary field crew.
