About the Role
UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Foreman to supervise and oversee work at job sites. This full-time role involves interacting with the site general foreman, chargehands, and labor group members to ensure tasks run smoothly throughout the work period. The Foreman will be responsible for supervising skilled teams to achieve maximum productivity, maintain high quality, and ensure work is carried out safely and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise activities and ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Manage crews, assign tasks, and provide guidance and support to workers.
- Monitor progress and productivity on site, identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
- Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among crew members to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct regular inspections of the worksite to ensure quality standards are met and workmanship is of the highest level.
- Resolve conflicts or disputes among crew members and address any performance issues promptly and effectively.
- Keep accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any incidents or accidents that occur on site.
- Participate in planning meetings and provide input on schedules, resource allocation, and project budgets.
- Serve as a liaison between project management and crews, communicating project updates, changes, and expectations clearly and effectively.
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
Experience and Qualifications
Candidates for this Foreman position should possess 5+ years of relevant experience in a supervisory capacity within a construction or contracting environment.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position within UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company, requiring active presence and supervision at various job sites. The role involves direct interaction with diverse teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.
