We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Financial Controller to oversee the hotel’s financial and accounting operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, effective cost control, and sustainable profitability.

The Financial Controller will partner closely with the General Manager, Executive Leadership Team, and Department Heads to provide strategic financial insights, strengthen internal controls, optimize cash flow, and support informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all financial accounting and reporting functions in accordance with applicable accounting standards, hotel policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor the hotel’s annual budget, financial forecasts, and business plans.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, identify variances, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and liquidity to maintain strong financial health.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard hotel assets and minimize financial risk.
• Oversee cost control and expense management, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Provide financial guidance to department heads and support them in achieving budgetary and financial targets.
• Monitor key hotel performance indicators, including GOP, departmental profitability, payroll costs, food & beverage costs, and operating expenses.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and relevant authorities as required.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial data within the hotel’s PMS, accounting systems, and ERP platforms.
• Support senior management with financial modeling, investment analysis, business cases, and strategic decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to maintain high standards of performance, professionalism, and accountability.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of hotel accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and internal controls.
• Solid understanding of applicable international accounting standards and financial practices.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, financial, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems, PMS, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional hotel teams.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, and a results-oriented approach.
