Job Title: Operator Body Shop

Job Purpose

The Operator Body Shop is responsible for operating and monitoring machinery tools and equipment in accordance with established procedures and quality standards to ensure efficient production operations. The role also involves conducting inspections identifying defects implementing corrective actions and maintaining a safe and organized work environment to support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Operate machinery equipment and tools according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to complete assigned production tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Monitor production processes and equipment performance to ensure optimal productivity and quality.

• Adjust equipment settings and troubleshoot minor operational issues to maintain workflow continuity.

Quality Control

• Inspect components parts and finished products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards.

• Identify defects non-conformities and quality issues and take appropriate corrective actions.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by reporting quality concerns and process improvement opportunities.

Maintenance and Housekeeping

• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment tools and workstations.

• Maintain a clean organized and safe working environment to enhance operational efficiency and minimize workplace hazards.

Health Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to all company safety policies procedures and regulations.

• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly and consistently.

• Follow hazardous material handling guidelines and report any safety concerns immediately.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of production activities including output quantities quality inspections defects downtime and maintenance activities.

• Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner to support operational tracking and performance monitoring.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with supervisors maintenance personnel and team members to resolve production or equipment-related issues.

• Contribute to a positive team environment and support operational goals through effective communication and cooperation.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or Diploma in Manufacturing Mechanical Systems Industrial Operations or a related field.

• Equivalent qualifications may be considered.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing automotive production industrial operations or a related field.
