Role Description The Civil Engineer role at Jaberco is a full-time, on-site position based in Jiddah. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and supervising civil and infrastructure works, including roads, utilities, and stormwater management systems. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing engineering drawings and specifications, coordinating with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role involves conducting site inspections, resolving technical issues, monitoring project progress, and preparing technical reports and documentation. The Civil Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize designs, manage resources, and support timely, cost-effective project delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with practical experience applying engineering principles to infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team of Civil Engineers, with collaborative problem-solving and project coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Planning activities, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with site teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Stormwater Management systems, hydrology principles, and related design and implementation practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; and a professional certification and registration.
• Experience with relevant engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar), and strong technical drawing interpretation skills.
• Familiarity with local building codes, infrastructure standards, and health and safety regulations applicable to construction projects.
• Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a site-based environment.
• Previous experience in roads, utilities, or infrastructure projects in a contracting or consulting environment is highly beneficial.
