Job description

As a technician in solar energy systems, you will be responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance on solar installations. Your tasks will include conducting regular inspections, diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, and ensuring the functionality of solar panels and associated systems. You will also monitor performance metrics and assist in maintaining SCADA systems.Key responsibilities include:

• Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of solar energy systems.
• Conducting inspections and diagnosing faults in electrical and mechanical components.
• Maintaining solar panels and their mounting structures.
• Testing components and replacing defective parts.
• Monitoring performance metrics and responding to operational issues.
• Documenting maintenance records and generating work reports.
• Adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Coordinating with engineers and participating in maintenance activities.

Skills

• Technical diploma or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, renewable energy, or related technical field.
• Minimum two years of hands-on experience in a relevant technical field, preferably in solar energy systems maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of solar energy systems and their components.
• Skills in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
• Able to perform preventive and corrective maintenance using testing tools.
• Ability to prepare maintenance reports and document work.
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work within a team and coordinate with engineers and supervisors.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers as a technician.
