Job Title: General Accountant

Workplace: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Employment Type: Office-based – Full-time

Years of Experience: 2 to 3 years

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting major, or equivalent

2 to 3 years of practical experience in general accounting

Prior experience using Microsoft Dynamics is preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office programs

Knowledge of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Recording and reviewing journal entries and ensuring the accuracy of accounting accounts

Reviewing purchase and sales invoices, following up on customer and supplier accounts, and making necessary reconciliations

Monitoring expenses, revenues, cash, and bank accounts, and preparing bank reconciliations

Reviewing accounting balances and contributing to the preparation of trial balances, financial reports, and monthly and annual closings

Following up on tax invoices and VAT in accordance with applicable regulations

Recording and monitoring accounting transactions on the Microsoft Dynamics system

Preparing and reviewing the monthly payroll, including salaries, allowances, deductions, overtime, and leave, in coordination with HR

Recording payroll entries and monitoring advances, accruals, and financial settlements for employees

Monitoring end-of-service benefits, leave, and related provisions

Organizing and maintaining accounting documents, adhering to financial policies, and maintaining data confidentiality
