Role Description The Lead Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software and AI-powered applications that support APTWatch’s digital transformation solutions. This full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia includes leading technical architecture decisions, writing clean and efficient code, and overseeing back-end services and integrations. The person in this role will guide a team of engineers, conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and collaborate with product and AI teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Daily responsibilities also include performance optimization, troubleshooting complex issues, mentoring team members, and contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-quality applications.
• Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, and database integration.
• Solid experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and related design patterns.
• Prior experience leading engineering teams or technical projects, preferably in enterprise or AI-driven environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, automation).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working on-site in a collaborative environment; prior exposure to international or multicultural teams is beneficial.
