Role Description The Scaffolding Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, responsible for inspecting, assessing, and certifying scaffolding installations on construction and engineering projects. This role includes conducting daily inspections of erected scaffolds, verifying compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and relevant codes, and documenting inspection findings and corrective actions. The inspector coordinates with site supervisors, safety officers, and construction teams to ensure safe access and working platforms, and monitors ongoing modifications or dismantling activities. Duties also involve identifying hazards such as improper assembly or damaged components, recommending remedial measures, and supporting toolbox talks and safety briefings related to scaffolding and work at height. The role requires accurate reporting, maintenance of inspection records, and proactive participation in site safety initiatives.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated competence in scaffolding inspection and installation, with strong practical knowledge of Scaffolding systems and components.
• Experience with Working at Height and Fall Protection practices, including safe use of harnesses, anchor points, guardrails, and access equipment.
• Awareness of Confined Space safety requirements where scaffolding interfaces with enclosed or restricted areas.
• Relevant safety certifications such as CSCS or equivalent site safety card, and recognized scaffolding inspection qualifications.
• Knowledge of applicable safety standards, regulations, and best practices for construction and industrial sites.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, method statements, and risk assessments related to temporary works.
• Strong observation, documentation, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and a focus on hazard identification.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary site teams and deliver clear safety guidance.
• Previous experience in MEP, construction, or industrial projects in the Middle East is an advantage.
