HSE Manager Construction Project Experience Only

About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking an experienced HSE Manager with construction project experience to lead and oversee Health, Safety, Environment, and Wellbeing (HSEW) functions. This full-time role focuses on remote projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), specifically high-end luxury hospitality and residential developments. The position requires strong leadership in managing HSEW strategies, ensuring compliance, safety excellence, and fostering continuous improvement across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall HSEW strategy and execution across remote project sites in KSA.
• Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific HSEW plans, policies, and procedures aligned with corporate and regulatory standards.
• Ensure full compliance with KSA health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as international standards.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to HSEW teams, coordinators, and site safety personnel.
• Oversee contractor and subcontractor HSEW performance, ensuring alignment with project safety requirements.
• Establish and maintain robust safety reporting systems, including KPIs, audits, and incident investigations.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture through training, awareness programs, and leadership engagement.
• Collaborate with project leadership teams to integrate HSEW into project planning and execution strategies.
• Manage site security requirements and oversee third-party security service providers.
• Support the development of Project Execution Plans, including HSEW frameworks during engineering and mobilization phases.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies on all HSEW-related matters.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Health, Safety, Environment, and Wellbeing (HSEW) management.
• Demonstrated experience in construction projects, particularly within luxury hospitality and residential developments.
• Proven ability to lead and manage HSEW functions for remote project sites.
• Strong understanding of KSA health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as international standards.
