About the Role
NADEC Foods, one of the largest dairy companies in the Middle East, is seeking an experienced Manager Herd Health. This full-time role focuses on leading herd health operations to ensure the well-being, productivity, and quality of the dairy herd. The position is based in the Eastern region and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement herd health programs to ensure optimal animal well-being.
- Monitor animal health, diagnose issues, and coordinate treatments with veterinary teams.
- Oversee vaccinations, disease prevention, and biosecurity protocols.
- Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate herd health records, medical history, and reporting systems.
- Monitor milk quality and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Train and guide farm staff on best practices in animal health and handling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a safe and hygienic farm environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in herd health management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and implement comprehensive animal health programs.
- Experience with veterinary coordination, disease prevention, and biosecurity.
- Knowledge of animal welfare regulations and quality standards.
