Job Description

As the Associate Vice President Anesthesiologist, you will oversee the delivery of anesthesia services while contributing to the organization's broader clinical and operational strategy. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing expert anesthesia care for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.

Leading and mentoring a team of anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, and clinical staff.

Developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical protocols and patient safety standards.

Collaborating with surgeons, department heads, and hospital administration to optimize perioperative outcomes.

Ensuring compliance with local health regulations and international best practices.

Participating in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and clinical research where applicable.

Representing the anesthesia department in executive meetings and strategic planning sessions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Job Requirements

Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with board certification in Anesthesiology.

Valid medical license to practice, with eligibility for licensure in Saudi Arabia.

Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, including leadership or supervisory roles.

Proven track record in clinical governance, team management, and quality improvement.

Excellent communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced healthcare environment.

Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.

Willingness to work part-time hours with flexibility to meet departmental needs.
