تفاصيل الوظيفة
This is an entry-level web development role inside a strategy advisory firm, and it exists because the firm's own web presence and internal tools are worked on by people who also have client mandates to run. You would carry the day-to-day build and upkeep of those properties from your first week: the site, the pages we publish for the markets we work in, and the small internal tools that principals and analysts use to get their work done. The scope is practical rather than theoretical, and you would own finished work rather than fragments of someone else's project.
About Namaa Partners
Namaa Partners is a strategy advisory firm based in Riyadh, working mostly with organizations in Saudi Arabia and with companies that have significant interests there. We advise family groups and their holding companies, listed corporations, private equity portfolio companies, banks and insurers, government entities, and industrial operators. The work covers corporate strategy, growth and market entry, operating model and efficiency, organization and talent, digital strategy, performance improvement, and governance and risk. Engagements are scoped by the principals who then deliver them, and they often continue past the recommendation into board meetings and the testing of management plans.
What you will do
- Build and maintain the firm's public website, including new pages, content updates, and the fixes that keep a live site working properly.
- Turn material from principals into clean, readable web pages and documents, matching the firm's own tone rather than a template.
- Maintain the small internal tools the team relies on, such as a dashboard of live engagements or a shared library of published research.
- Test pages across browsers and screen sizes, and resolve layout and performance issues as they come up.
- Write down what you built and how it is maintained, so the next person can pick it up without asking you.
- Work with whoever is scoping a piece of the site, ask what the page needs to do, and come back with something that does it.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, whether from a degree, a course, or projects you built yourself.
- Some experience with a modern framework or content management system, and a clear account of what you did in it.
- Care for how a page reads as well as how it renders: spacing, hierarchy, and text that a client can follow.
- Comfort working from a short written brief, and asking questions early when the brief is thin.
- Written and spoken English at a professional level. Arabic is useful for reviewing content, but not required.
- An interest in how organizations in the Kingdom actually operate, since the site speaks to the people we advise.
Within six to twelve months, the site should be something principals can point a client to without checking it first. Requests for a new page or a correction should reach you and come back done, without a chase. The internal tools should be used daily by people who would notice if they stopped working. You would also have a record of a few things you fixed that no one asked about, because you saw them and dealt with them.
How decisions get made
Principals scope the work and decide what the firm publishes, so you would get a brief rather than a ticket queue. You own the build, the sequence of it, and the technical choices inside it, and you would be expected to say when a request will take longer than the person asking assumes. Anything that touches how the firm presents itself to a client goes to the principal who owns that relationship. Escalation is direct: you raise it with the person who scoped it, and if that stalls, it goes to a partner.
What the role offers
This is a permanent, full-time position, hybrid, based in Riyadh. You would see how an advisory firm presents its thinking to boards and management teams, and how that thinking changes once a decision is made. The web work is real and it is used, and the people reviewing it read closely. You would work alongside principals and analysts rather than in a separate technology function.
Who tends to do well here
People who write clearly and would rather cut a paragraph than add one. People who can work in a client's own vocabulary without needing a formal specification to begin. People who are comfortable being accountable for a number, a deadline, or a page that has to be right when a principal sends the link. The role suits someone early in their career who wants to see the decision behind the work, not only the ticket in front of them.
