Job Title: Technical Writer - Oil & Gas Documentation | Mechanical Engineering

Job Description
At Quest Global, we believe in solving complex engineering challenges through innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. We are looking for a Technical Writer to create and maintain product documentation, user manuals, and maintenance procedures for Oil & Gas tools.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing skills, a Mechanical Engineering background, and experience working with structured documentation and content management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain product manuals, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation for Oil & Gas tools.
- Create structured content from existing documentation and content management systems.
- Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, and technicians to gather technical information.
- Develop clear, accurate, and user-focused documentation for field technicians and end users.
- Support Event-Based Maintenance (EBM) documentation and maintenance strategies.
- Review and update content to improve usability, consistency, and productivity.
- Work within an Agile development environment to deliver high-quality documentation.
Required Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in technical writing, technical publications, or documentation development.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial equipment.
- Experience creating user guides, product manuals, service manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent written English and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Oil & Gas domain experience.
- Experience with structured authoring and XML-based documentation.
- Hands-on experience with:
- MadCap Flare
- Arbortext
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Illustrator
- Documentum or similar CMS tools
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems and content modeling.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
Desired Candidate Profile
