Hays are working in partnership with a Holding Group in Riyadh, who are seeking a Financial Controller to join their team.

As the Financial Controller at holding level, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial controls, accounting practices, reporting, and financial governance and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial activities and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records and management accounts.
• Identify internal control weaknesses, assess financial risks, and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
• Maintain and update records of investments, including listed securities, private equity, venture capital, investment funds, and other investments.
• Coordinate with the external auditors during annual audits, including preparing audit schedules, supporting documents, reconciliations, and responses to audit queries.
• Maintain a documented system of internal controls and accounting policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Assist in supervising the Finance team and improving finance processes and systems.
• Support the CFO in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
• Prepare periodic investment portfolio reports and performance analysis for shareholders, board of directors, and senior management.
• Develop investment dashboards, management reports, financial analysis, and presentations using advanced Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, direction, and supervision to direct reports.

Requirements to apply:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field.
• 8+ years experience within Investment, Holding Groups or diversified companies.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
• Strong Excel skills with experience using Power BI or other BI tools.
• Fluent English and Arabic speaker is a must.
