Senior Project Manager – Greenfield Industrial Pro

Job Summary

About the Role

Sika is undertaking a major strategic investment involving the construction of a new manufacturing facility and the consolidation of existing operations in Saudi Arabia. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of these projects from concept development and design through construction commissioning start-up and final handover.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise in industrial construction with proven project management capabilities to ensure projects are delivered safely on time within budget and in accordance with Sikas global standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Planning

• Lead the planning engineering execution and delivery of greenfield industrial construction and site consolidation projects.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project execution plans schedules budgets risk registers and resource plans.
• Define project scope objectives milestones and deliverables in alignment with business requirements.
• Coordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams including engineering operations procurement finance HSE and quality functions.
• Ensure effective project governance and reporting throughout all project phases.

Project Execution & Site Management

• Manage all construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs technical specifications company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project progress against schedule budget and quality objectives implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Conduct regular site inspections progress reviews and project meetings.
• Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance ensuring contractual obligations quality standards and timelines are achieved.
• Manage project changes claims risks and mitigation plans.

Project Controls & Coordination

• Implement robust project controls covering planning scheduling cost control reporting and risk management.
• Utilize project management tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project to track performance and project deliverables.
• Coordinate engineering procurement construction commissioning and operational readiness activities.
• Ensure seamless communication and coordination between all project stakeholders.

Commissioning & Handover

• Lead plant commissioning start-up testing and operational readiness activities.
• Ensure all systems are handed over in accordance with project specifications and operational requirements.
• Coordinate training documentation punch-list closure and final acceptance processes.
• Support transition from project execution to plant operations.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders.
• Liaise with consultants contractors suppliers government authorities and regulatory agencies.
• Provide regular project status updates risk assessments and financial reports to senior management.
• Ensure alignment between project objectives and broader business strategies.

Governance Compliance & HSE

• Ensure full compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations permitting requirements industry standards and Sika policies.
• Promote and maintain a strong Safety Health Environment and Sustainability (HSES) culture throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to quality management procedures and corporate governance standards.
• Maintain effective risk management practices and ensure project documentation is properly controlled and maintained.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Construction Management or a related discipline.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification is mandatory.
• Additional certifications in project management construction management or engineering disciplines are advantageous.

Experience & Skills

• 1012 years of relevant industrial project management experience including significant exposure to greenfield manufacturing or industrial facility projects.
• Proven experience delivering multi-million-dollar capital projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Experience within manufacturing chemical construction materials industrial production or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies project controls budgeting scheduling and risk management.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian and GCC regulatory requirements permitting processes and construction standards.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 Microsoft Project and project reporting systems.
• Excellent leadership communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is considered an advantage.
