Job Purpose

To support a plant trial in a gold-processing plant. The technician will assist with reagent preparation, dosing, process monitoring, sampling, and data collection under the supervision of the technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with reagent dosing and monitor chemical consumption.

• Monitor flotation operations and record relevant process parameters.

• Collect, label, and handle process samples for laboratory analysis.

• Record daily operating conditions, reagent dosage, and trial observations.

• Report operational issues and deviations to the responsible technical representative.

• Coordinate with mine personnel to facilitate trial activities.

• Comply with all mine-site safety requirements and chemical handling procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or a related technical field.

• Familiarity with process sampling and data recording is an advantage.

• Ability to work at a remote mine site and follow the required work schedule.

• Good communication skills and a strong commitment to safety.

Expected Deliverables

• Accurate daily records of reagent consumption and process operating conditions.

• Properly collected and labelled process samples.

• Daily updates on trial progress, operational observations, and any issues encountered.

• Support for the technical team’s assessment of CMC performance and its impact on talc depression and gold recovery.
