Electrical Engineer (Design and Supervision) - (Electrical Engineer (Power & ELV Systems)

Possesses extensive experience and knowledge of at least 14 years in preparing engineering designs and supervising the execution of all electrical works for new buildings, as well as development and rehabilitation projects for existing buildings. This includes Power Systems and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Systems, with experience in assessing the electrical systems of existing buildings and determining their development or replacement needs according to the best engineering practices. Also possesses the ability to ensure that all works comply with local and international codes and specifications, including the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and relevant regulatory requirements, to achieve the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

First: Engineering Design Works

• Preparing engineering designs for low and medium voltage power systems.
• Designing Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, including fire alarm systems, telephone, telecommunications, and network systems, CCTV, access control, public address (PA) systems, central clock systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), and other related systems.
• Preparing design calculations, engineering drawings, bills of quantities, technical specifications, and tender documents in accordance with approved codes and standards.

And coordinating with other engineering disciplines to ensure design integration and the integrity of project execution.

Second: Supervision and Execution Works

• Reviewing and approving engineering designs and calculations (Design Review), shop drawings, and electrical materials, devices, and equipment.
• Supervising the execution of electrical works and ensuring they conform to drawings, technical specifications, contracts, and approved codes and standards.
• Reviewing quantities surveyed and executed, auditing payment certificates, and verifying their compliance with executed works and contract documents.
• Monitoring work progress, preparing periodic technical reports, and coordinating with all relevant parties.
• Supervising pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, approving their results, reviewing operation and maintenance manuals, and participating in the preliminary and final project handover.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Experience in healthcare and hospital projects is preferred, in accordance with the standards of the Saudi Ministry of Health and relevant regulatory bodies.

Technical Knowledge

• Full familiarity with the following codes and standards:
• Saudi Building Code (SBC 401)
• Saudi Electrical Code (SEC)
• NFPA 72 and NFPA 99
• NEC
• IEC
• IEEE
• Saudi Civil Defense requirements.
• Saudi Electricity Company requirements.
• Ministry of Health standards for healthcare facilities.
