About the Role

Al Futtaim Group is seeking an Electrical Technician for Al-Futtaim Automotive - BYD in KSA. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on advanced diagnostics and repair of vehicle electrical, electronic, and high-voltage systems across conventional, hybrid, and fully electric vehicles.

Role Purpose and Context

The Electrical Technician serves as the workshop's specialist for complex electrical faults, ECU programming, software updates, and ADAS calibration. As the automotive industry transitions towards electrified and software-driven vehicles, this position is critical for ensuring diagnostic accuracy, repair quality, and the safe handling of high-voltage systems. The role also supports overall workshop capability by assisting general technicians with complex cases and contributing to the team's technical knowledge development.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electrical and electronic faults, including CAN bus systems, body control modules, infotainment systems, and powertrain electronics.
• Perform advanced fault tracing using OEM diagnostic tools, scan platforms, and electrical testing equipment.
• Execute ECU flashing, software updates, and control module programming in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Carry out ADAS calibration, sensor alignment, key coding, and immobilizer programming as required.

High-Voltage System Management

• Perform diagnostics, service, and repair of high-voltage (HV) systems in electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Conduct battery health checks, isolation testing, and inspection of inverters, electric motors, and HV wiring systems.
• Ensure correct handling, storage, and maintenance of HV batteries and related components.
• Maintain and calibrate HV diagnostic tools, including insulation testers, milliohm meters, and specialized equipment.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in vehicle electrical, electronic, and high-voltage systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced diagnostics and repair across conventional, hybrid, and fully electric vehicles.
