About the Role
UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Senior Onboarding Officer to lead and oversee the onboarding process for new hires. This full-time role focuses on ensuring a smooth transition and integration of new employees into the company culture and their respective roles. The Senior Onboarding Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive onboarding programs and initiatives.
Role Context and Objectives
The Senior Onboarding Officer plays a key role in facilitating the successful assimilation of new employees. This involves collaborating with HR colleagues, hiring managers, and department heads to coordinate onboarding activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals. A primary objective is to evaluate and continuously improve the effectiveness of onboarding practices to enhance the employee experience and retention within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding programs and processes for new hires.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure new employees receive necessary resources, tools, and information.
- Create and maintain onboarding materials, including welcome kits, orientation manuals, and training documents.
- Conduct orientation sessions and workshops to familiarize new hires with company culture, values, and structure.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for new hires, addressing questions and concerns during the onboarding period.
- Monitor and track new hire progress, providing support and guidance to ensure a positive experience.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues and hiring managers to gather feedback and recommend improvements to the onboarding process.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in onboarding to continuously enhance the program.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to enhance the onboarding experience.
- Contribute to the overall talent management strategy by integrating onboarding with other HR processes.
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
Required Experience
- Candidates should possess 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
