Role purpose

Own the group’s day-to-day accounting operations across HUMAIN, and other entities. The goal is accurate, timely and controlled books, and an efficient month-end close.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and year-end close, and deliver accurate trial balances and reconciliations on time.
• Oversee the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions and balance sheet reconciliations for all entities.
• Manage the full procure-to-pay cycle (AP) and order-to-cash cycle (AR), including vendor payments, billing and revenue operations.
• Own the fixed asset register, capitalization, depreciation and asset tagging.
• Design and maintain strong internal controls, policies and procedures in line with IFRS and local regulations.
• Work with Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury and audit teams, and act as the main contact for operational audit queries.
• Build, lead and develop the operations team, and set clear KPIs for each function.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, SOCPA or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• 12+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years leading accounting operations teams.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and hands-on experience with multi-entity, group-level accounting.
• Proven ERP experience and a track record of improving close and transactional processes.
• Experience in a fast-growing or technology-sector organization is a plus.
