About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Life Guard to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment for guests. The role involves active observation, rescue techniques, and upholding the cleanliness and safety standards of the swimming area.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate rescue techniques when swimmers require assistance.
• Monitor the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity and report to a supervisor or manager.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Contribute to a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
• Clean the pool deck through washing and mopping.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; ensure a clean and professional appearance; anticipate and address guest service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects weighing over 75 pounds with assistance.
• Skill in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Capacity to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down ladders, stairs, and/or service ramps.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience is required (0-1 years).
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.

Required Certifications

• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Proficiency with Fitness Equipment
• Any additional certification or training mandated by local and state agencies.
