About the Role

EHIF is seeking a TPE IV / Senior Cathodic Protection Engineer to join its team. This full-time role involves supporting projects in Saudi Arabia, focusing on cathodic protection design and implementation within the energy and materials sectors. The position requires a professional with extensive experience in cathodic protection technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform design for Cathodic Protection (CP) systems across Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon refinery, offshore, mining, and petrochemical projects during FEED and detailed design phases.
• Prepare CP design drawings and documents in accordance with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and Maaden standards for various assets including pipelines, tanks, well casings, and in-plant underground metallic equipment.
• Develop Scope of Work (SOW), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), Technical Bid Clarifications (TBC), Material Requisitions (MR), Non-Material Requisitions (NMR) reviews, and other CP bidding documentation.
• Attend pre-design Kick-Off Meetings (KOM) with clients and present CP design approaches for new projects.
• Prepare site visit agendas and checklists.
• Review and check engineering deliverables against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure proper incorporation of input during the preparation and development of deliverables.
• Collect site data necessary for cathodic protection design of well casings, AC mitigation, and pipelines, including the use of EM34/31.
• Conduct all required site measurements for CP design, such as potential data of existing structures, existing CP system parameters, and current measurements with flow direction.
• Oversee site installation and supervision, as well as CP system start-up and testing commissioning.
• Manage the submission of deliverables, ensuring quality checks and proper record management.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Cathodic Protection Technologist (NACE CP Level 3).
• Proven experience in the design of cathodic protection for Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon refinery, offshore, mining, and petrochemical projects.
• Experience working with engineering consulting, EPC, and contracting companies.
• Experience in offshore CP system design, existing CP assessment, and monitoring.

Work Environment and Safety

The role involves working on projects within Saudi Arabia, requiring adherence to all company safety requirements and policies. The engineer will coordinate with various disciplines and conduct site visits and measurements as needed for project execution.
